    In June 2016, I joined the Citizen Science project proposing a research from the title
    “GRB cosmology”, see http://scistarter.com/. I usually invite Citizen Scientists to join current project I am performing but involving them by assigning them tasks such as data gathering or literature search. For students I can involve them in more challenging tasks.

    Dec 2007–May 2008 Supervisor of a Master thesis: “GRBs as cosmological tools?”
    So far, the total number of students supervised is 23 including PhD and master’s students, undergraduates, and high school students. Out of these 31 students 5 of them are still under my current supervision. It is of note that majority of students, due to the exciting nature of the research they conduct, continue the project, culminating in poster presentations and/or publications.

Ongoing Projects and current mentorship:

  1. Investigation of the GRB-cosmology by introducing the jet opening angles;
  2.  Investigation on the existence of the plateau emission in high energy gamma-rays (update with new data);
  3.  The redshift extraction of GRBs with machine learning approaches;
  4. The GRB rate versus star formation rate for short GRBs (update with Fermi-GBM and Konus-Wind data);
